How to Overclock the Micro SD Card Reader on the Raspberry Pi 3, 2, 1, 0

In this Instructable, you are going to learn how to overclock your Raspberry Pi’s MicroSD Card reader.

What You’ll Need

Find the Correct File

Insert your MicroSD Card on your PC.

Open it up and look for a file named “config.txt”

Open it up with Notepad++ to keep the formatting as it should be.

Overclock Your Reader

Create a new line under the line that reads “over_voltage=0”

Type in “dtoverlay=sdhost,overclock_50=100”

Click “Save”

Close the file.

Eject the MicroSD Card.

Insert it back to your Raspberry Pi.

Congratulations, you’ve just installed OSMC in your Raspberry Pi, configured it, allowed the installation of plugins and themes and that’s it for this tutorial.
