M1 Pro MacBook Pro 14 vs 16 Unboxing, Setup and Initial Comparison

The 14 and 16” M1 Pro MacBook Pro just got here, I’m super excited to get these open and take a look at them. These have the new chip in them, it’s a significant upgrade from the 13” – which was not really a MacBook Pro in my opinion – but that’s a topic for another video. So let’s get these unboxed, see what comes with the laptops, set them up, and I will give you my first impressions.

Starting out with the 14” – I got the base model, with the M1 Pro, 8-core CPU, 14-core GPU and 16GB of unified memory. For both of these, I got the base model of both, because that’s what was available today, and I’m also getting maxed out versions of both – so I’ll be able to do more detailed comparisons very soon.
