What You’ll Need
- 8GB MicroSD Card
- Raspberry Pi Zero W
- 7zip
- Etcher
- Latest RetroPie Image
- Latest Raspbian Image
Extract Raspbian’s Boot File
Dowload and Flash both RetroPie and Raspbian images using Etcher.
Open the Raspbian image using “7zip”
Extract the “0.fat” file intot he SD Card.
Extract The Raspberry Pi 0 W Specific Boot Files
Open the “0.fat” file we just extracted with “7.zip”
Look for the following archives: “bcm2708-rpi-0-w.dtb”, “bootcode.bin”, “fixup.dat” and “start.elf”
Extract them into your MicroSD Card Folder.
Unmount your MicroSD Card and inset it on your Raspberry Pi 0 W
Start RetroPie In Your Raspberry Pi 0 W
Start up your Raspberry Pi and it should boot into RetroPie without any issue.
